What goes in. What comes out.
Bring whatever you already have: a serial number, a free-text description, an ID, or a spreadsheet. Get back one verified record every team can build on.
AssetGym accepts a serial number, raw unstructured data, an AssetGym asset ID, and an Excel or CSV file, and returns five kinds of verified output: standard asset info, standard taxonomy, asset technical specifications, CO₂ data, and SEO and GEO content.

Three ways in. One verified identity out.
Most asset data arrives incomplete, inconsistent, or as nothing more than a code on a nameplate. AssetGym resolves an asset’s true identity from whatever you have.

Serial number
Decode from the serial alone
Send the serial number off the identification plate and get back the exact manufacturer and model from our catalogue, plus the year where the format encodes one. When a serial can’t be pinned down, you get the candidates or the manufacturer instead of a guess.
Free-text descriptions and mixed spreadsheets, decoded and matched against our catalogue with AI-assisted mapping.
Catalogue
Match to AssetBase
Reconcile local naming and taxonomies against a standardised catalogue built on OEM-backed definitions.
One pipeline for every asset.
Every asset runs the same four-stage pipeline, from a raw input to a verified, reusable record your whole business can rely on.
Identify
Decode assets via description, VIN or serial number and pin down the exact machine.
Standardise
Map naming variations and local categories to one consistent taxonomy.
Enrich
Attach technical specs, verified CO₂ and pricing-relevant attributes.
Deliver
Return clean records to your workflow, API-first or as XLS/CSV export.
AI proposes. People verify.
Automated matching is fast, but not everything should be resolved by a model alone. AssetGym pairs AI-assisted matching with human review, so your records stay trustworthy as new assets enter your portfolio.
Matched
AI-assisted matching resolves each record against the standardised catalogue in seconds.
Flagged
Anything the model is not sure about is held for human review instead of being guessed, so a low-confidence match never ships as fact.
Explained
You get back exactly what matched, what did not, and why, so every record is auditable rather than a black box.
Every identity, backed by verified data.
AssetGym draws on proprietary libraries so a resolved asset arrives complete: not just named, but classified, specified and measured.

Everything is an API call.
Autocomplete, serial-number decoding, taxonomy browsing, asset lookups and vault files are all plain REST calls with one bearer key. The reference is generated from the running service, so it can’t drift from what is deployed, and the same spec is published as machine-readable OpenAPI for your client generator or agent. API keys are self-service: signed-in users generate them in settings.
Asset-level CO₂ from EmissionBase® you can actually defend in front of an auditor.
AI-ready foundation
Structured, standardised data that predictive models and analytics can be trusted to run on.
Common questions.
What is AssetGym?
AssetGym is a platform that identifies, standardises and enriches asset data for leasing, rental and remarketing companies. You bring raw records, spreadsheets or serial numbers; it returns verified, classified asset records with technical specifications and CO₂ values.
What input formats does AssetGym accept?
You can work API-first, upload Excel or CSV files, or type free-text descriptions. Records in different languages and structures are matched against the standardised catalogue either way.
How does identification from a serial number work?
Send the serial number as stamped on the identification plate to the serial decode endpoint, up to 10 per call. AssetGym reads the manufacturer, model and, where the format encodes it, the year, and matches the result to the catalogue. When a serial can't be pinned to one asset, the result says so: you get the candidate models or manufacturers, or just the manufacturer when that is all the serial proves, instead of a guess. An optional manufacturer hint narrows decoding further.
Which industries and manufacturers do you support for serial number identification?
Our current focus covers construction, material handling, and agriculture equipment. We support major manufacturers including Bobcat, Case IH, Caterpillar, JCB, Komatsu, Liebherr, New Holland, Takeuchi, and Yanmar, with continuous coverage expansion. If you would like to check availability or coverage for your specific equipment, please get in touch with us.
Where does the CO₂ data come from?
From EmissionBase®, a proprietary library of verified lifecycle CO₂ values connected to precise asset identities. Because the value is tied to the exact machine, the numbers hold up in an audit.
How is AssetGym different from a data-cleaning project?
One-off cleanups decay. AssetGym standardises against a maintained catalogue with AI-assisted matching plus human review, so records stay consistent as new assets enter your portfolio.
How do I get access?
Book a demo and we will set up a workspace for your team. Integration is API-first, and most teams are productive within a few weeks.
